Cathy is the owner of Distinctive Design Group. Her love for design, color, fabrics, & texture stem from 16 years in the bridal industry. When she and her husband launched a construction company, a whole new world opened up for her and she decided to return to school to obtain a degree in Interior Design.

In 2005, she opened her firm, Designs With You in Mind Inc, specializing in design-build projects. Kitchens and baths are her passion and she is able to use her experience in the construction industry to her advantage.

Cathy creates spaces that bring out the best in her clients. She has a passion to create spaces that reflect who they are and the way they live. She is grateful for the gifts that have been given to her that allow her to have that vision.

Inspired by the world around me, whether that be a mountian waterfall or a bustling city market, my design aesthetic is clean, editorial, and reflective of my client’s style. It is important to respect when just the right balance is achieved whether the style is modern, refined, or geared toward everyday living. Every day we seek beauty, pleasure, comfort and human connection. Interior spaces should provide an avenue for realization of these needs. My passion as a designer is to discover what that is and allow it to inform the design.

With over 30 years of timeless design expertise, Linda Delehant remains at the forefront of contemporary trends, blending classic sensibility with innovative styles tailored for each client. A seasoned designer with deep roots in fashion, textiles, and custom furniture design, Linda holds multiple degrees specializing in Textiles and Design as well as Interior Design. Her career spans from high-end fashion buying to bespoke floral design and staging, eventually leading her to an acclaimed, award-winning interior design firm in San Francisco, where she contributed significantly to upscale residential interiors and bespoke furniture collections.

Linda founded Delehant Design in 2009, quickly establishing a reputation for meticulous attention to detail, personalized design experiences, and interiors that thoughtfully reflect each client’s individual lifestyle and personality. With projects ranging from elegant residential homes in Sacramento, the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe, Hawaii and New York City, Linda’s sophisticated transitional aesthetic bridges the timeless allure of traditional designs with the clean lines of contemporary style. Her unique ability to craft custom, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces ensures every space is truly distinct and impeccably tailored.

To Kristen, design is not just about creating beautiful spaces — it’s about manifesting joy and tranquility while fostering well-being. Inspiration comes from a spectrum of meaningful moments to the smallest details. For instance, her travels throughout Europe, a 14th-century building with beautiful mosaic tile…or the seasons in Sacramento, the soft and bright hues of spring dahlias…and even her favorite artists that blend vibrant color with painterly brush strokes to create striking impressionist landscapes.

Kristen finds fulfillment in creating personal and stunning spaces that her clients love. Her award-winning work has been featured in prestigious design publications including Architectural Digest, Design Et Al, Home & Decor, Casa Vogue, Elle Decor, and the Magnolia Network.

I went from being a Speech Pathologist to a residential kitchen and bath designer after the completion of an interior design degree over 15 years ago.

My goal in design is to provide functional as well as visually apealing design solutions based upon my client's design style. I have entered and won several local as well as national National Kitchen and Bath Design Competitions.

During my career, I have worked in many facets of the Interior Design and Architectural industry. Most of that time was spent working as an architectural/interior design representative for building products before I decided to follow my passion for design. I attended the Art Institute for Kitchen and Bath Design and I am a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer through the National Kitchen Bath Association. In addtion to kitchen and bath, I enjoy designing all other living and work spaces. My goal is to help my clients create their ideal space by helping them to find the ultimate comfort and style that suits their needs while reflecting who they are personally.

Originally from Germany where she began a beloved 20 year career in aviation, Yvonne’s passion for interior design was ignited when she decided to build her own home.

After moving to the Sacramento area where she continued her aviation career, she decided it was time to explore her talents by enrolling in a formal design school.

Yvonne has won three design awards from The National Kitchen and Bath Association, of which she is an active council member.

To Yvonne, designing the perfect interior floor plan, products, and finishes for each client is like getting every piece of a puzzle to perfectly fit together. Every problem a thrilling challenge, every design element a creative solution that solves it.

Yvonne and her husband have called Sacramento home since 2011 and have two beautiful children, and a Whoodle named Luna. A busy mom, Yvonne deeply understands the needs of the modern day family and busy professional, and how a home should function to meet those needs.

As a passionate interior designer with over 15 years of experience, I can still recall the Cherry Dresser that inspired it all!  After redesigning my bedroom, and helping my dad with design selections in his Sacramento home, I naturally gravitated to designing spaces that evolve a deeper sense of comfort, joy, and calm within.

A graduate from San Diego State University, Lindsay Kjellberg has been in the design industry for over two decades. In 2004, she opened LHK Interiors, based out of Modesto, California. Our clients span from all over the Central Valley. We specialize in custom residential design and have worked on a full spectrum of commercial and residential renovations and new builds. With each client, we seek to select the perfect furniture, colors, and architectural details to match their lifestyle.  We customize the entire experience of construction to give you a space to love. In the end, the aesthetics of each space should reflect personality, attention to detail, and distinction.

I started with an interest in space planning and art that developed into a passion for interior design. After earning a Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design from California State University, Sacramento, I started hand drafting for a local architect and quickly transitioned to merchandising model homes. It was a wonderful career experience with building houses and communities from start to finish. In addition to creating the “model home look,” I contributed to floor plan development, creating color palettes for each community's exteriors and designing all upgraded finishes. Three to four completely different design styles per community.

After nine years, in 2002, I opened my own Interior Design firm, Chris Merenda-Axtell Interior Design (DesignCMA) and Farmer’s Daughter Home Accessories in Lyon Village. My work has been featured in design magazines and home tours. I am fortunate to love what I do. Together, we can create beautiful and comfortable environments. Laura is an experienced designer who reaches into history, the arts and world travels to create warmly modern spaces. Her ability to translate a seasoned and thoughtful aesthetic into her client’s homes places her in high demand throughout the Sacramento area. Laura works diligently with dashes of whimsy, beautiful fabrics, and authentic patina to craft luxurious and warmly modern interiors for clients. She believes that working with an interior designer should be a delightful and rewarding experience, as well as a straightforward one.

Maria Schendzelos Design is a full service residential boutique design studio committed to creating sophisticated interiors that are beautiful, inviting, and livable. We are based in Sacramento, California.

We create homes rooted in traditional design that feel current and approachable. We always keep in mind that a home can look incredible and still remain functional.

Maria believes that true luxury lies in the details. We are committed to creating spaces that reflect each client's individual style. Maria’s boutique approach ensures a more intimate and collaborative experience between the designer and the client. From custom furniture pieces to carefully curated color palettes, we execute each project with a keen sense of attention to detail that transforms houses into homes. We also offer styling and holiday design for clients.

Maria is an Athens, Georgia native and a graduate of the University of Georgia. She began her design career in Charleston, South Carolina.

Julie Smith has been an established interior designer for over 40 years. Julie and her husband Ron Smith worked as a team to design, build and decorate both luxury homes and commercial properties all over the Northern California region, but Julie is perhaps best known for being the owner and lead designer of Julie Smith & Associates, a design shop in Granite Bay that proudly displayed high end furniture, lighting, accessories and other home accents for 33 years. Julie loves the entirety of the home-building process, from creating the initial floor plans, all the way to furnishing the home with the final accessories. Julie walks alongside her clients through the entire building process, and it is the strong, deep relationships she builds with people that keep both her clients and her contractors desiring her expertise for years.

Well, I do not know how 35 years of experience after graduating from ARC in 1987,  with my degree in Interior Design  after first starting down the medical field can be a "short bio" but a quick try.  

I have been a part of the Folsom, Granite Bay and El Dorado Hill community working with many clients for the past 35 years, born and raised in Sacramento.  I have some repeat clients on the 3rd or 4th go round and have never advertised. I have had my own business since 1999 and have built my reputation on a strong work ethic and have been fortunate to be able to spend many years of doing what I love, staying with my love of desiging, art and color.  I have been very blessed to have many friends from my many years in this profession and industry.  I have worked with my general contractor and my clients own,  doing both remodels and new build consultations, along with smaller projects of window coverings, draperies, shutters, flooring, furniture, art and accessories.  

I like clean lines and attention to detail.  I stay away from clutter and chaos!

After teaching elementary school for 11 years, running a tutoring business, and helping friends and family design their homes, it wasn’t until Lindsay designed her own family home that she wanted to share her love for design with the world. The transition of opening Lindsay Tate Designs was a natural one. Her experience with managing large-scale projects and translating conversations and dreams into one-of-a-kind homes has allowed her to partner with clients since 2017 to design spaces that her clients and their families will love for years to come.

My fascination design and architecture started when I was a child. After attending American River College with an interior design focus, I jumped into the industry in 2004 working with tile and slab materials and showrooms, then onto business to business sales for interior designers, and moved on to specify new construction and remodel projects since 2011… which is definitely my calling.

I specialize in interior finishes of all kinds. My selections must marry function and beauty to ensure my clients absolutely love their home for years to come.

My hobbies include family, fast cars, brunching with great friends, and trips to Orange County with my darling husband.
